ARTIST BIO
David Penn is an award winning composer / producer known for his unique and evocative style of songwriting. His love of many diverse styles of music has been instrumental in shaping his uniquely identifiable sound.
Born in Long Island, NY, David knew from an early age that music would play a significant role in his life. He formed his first band in the mid 1980's, and quickly discovered that he not only had a natural talent for playing the guitar, but for composing as well.
Today David's primary focus is composing for Film & TV as well as collaborating with other artists. He composes for a range of short and long formats including commercials, videos, TV shows, film, video games and events. His compositions span across numerous genres and have been recognized by industry greats including Jason Blume and Ron Nevison.
David currently lives in New York City and is a member of the prestigious Manhattan Producers Alliance Emerging Talent Program. In addition to composing, he is also involved in producing, coaching, critiquing and songwriting workshops.
